Heave Ho! Off we go!

Today we enjoyed an Arts Council performance called "Heave Ho! Off we go!"  It was full of amazing magical tricks and kept us very entertained!

Our Mother's Day tribute

Here is the tribute we played at our Mother's Day Assembly.

Year 2 present The Easter Sunday Liturgy.

2H had the honour of re-enacting the story of Easter Sunday for the students on Mercy Campus.  We did a wonderful job and really looked the part with great reading and acting!

Year 2 Author Studies

This year we have explored some really great Authors.  Back in Term one we read "Awful Auntie" by David Walliams.  We really enjoyed this story and the way that David Walliam's write with a lot of onamatapea.

The story is about a young heiress named Stella Saxby and her Awful Aunt Alberta.

Aunt Alberta and her owl, Wagner.

Stella is the heiress of Saxby Hall.
We liked this story so much that a lot of our class has explored other titles by David Walliams.
Our Library has all of these titles!

We explored some great activities from the David Walliams website.

During Term 2 we read the wonderful Roald Dahl story, The BFG.  Again, we enjoyed the story of Sophie and her adventure with The BFG.  Together they save the world from the other Giants, who enjoy gobbling up little chiddlers!
